2. What are the categories Case Study and Team Design?

Case Study

Literally – situational task.
Practically – solution of any actual economical/analytical/technical problem.
As a result – algorithm of solving is presented orally.

Team Design

Practically – designing and modeling a device that executes predetermined functions according to a task.
As a result – testing of a developed device.

3. Are the tasks hard?

Tasks have special direction, but nevertheless their level doesn’t mean narrow special knowledges in one branch. We wish that people of all specialities like radio engineering, electrical engineering and machine building could participate in our event.

4. I am the student of other university/part-time student.

Format of a project is such that only the full-time students of three technical universities of Ukraine (ZNTU, NU “LP”, NTUU “KPI”) can take part in the competitions.

5. I want to participate, but I’ve got no team.

Presence of a team is not necessary. Alone participants are grouped into teams with help of organizers or by themselves independently. It is held in the time of questionnaire poll, when all those who decided to take part come together. 

6. Why is it all free?

We are altruists from non-profit students' organization, which try to organize qualitive and perspective project for future young specialists.  

7. I want to be fifth in a team.

Membership of a team includes only 4 members according to a format of the competitions.

8. Who and how values our project/presentation?

Representatives of a partner companies which gives a concrete task, organizers which took part in development of a task and invited lecturers or professors can be in a membership of a jury.

9. Will we be supplied by additional theoretical materials for a task? Any lectures?

We try to make a task understandable for the students of different specialities. That’s why additional materials and lectures will be surely given as far as possible.

10. I don’t speak English.

One of the main demands to the participants of competitions is language maintenance on the Intermediate level or higher.

11. Do the organizers know the task and can they influence on evaluation?

Development of the task is being held by independent group of organizers. In some cases - in conference with a company, that grants a task. The rest of the organizers do not know the task. The organizers except the members of a jury do not influence on decision making.

12. I have a class/exam/day siesta/apocalypse and I have no chance to be present all the time.

One of the main rules of participation is compulsory presence of all members of a team on all days of the competitions. Organizers will provide documents which prove absence of reasonable excuse as far as it is possible. Unfortunately, we are powerless against apocalypse!

13. If my team wins, but I can not leave for all-european competitions?

If one of the members of a team can not leave for this event – one of the members of a second-prize team becomes a member of a winner-team and will take part instead of this person.

14. In what way will the selection pass?

All registered participants are invited on definite day for the questionnaire poll. Each participant questionnaire gets some mark – this will be our selection criterion.

If you come with already prepared team: teams will be selected by average mark of the questionnaires. If 3 of 4 members of a team pass – team will participate in the competitions.

15. How much time does the competition last?

This event lasts 3-4 days, 4-8 working hours per day.

Great esthetic delight, possibility of finding a genius in yourself, great number of useful skills, communication with partner companies, ticket to all-european competition in Romania… oh, and of course prizes from the companies!
